I have recently become obsessed with BIG jewelry. Its inspired by Meagan. She is Genius I tell ya. I have raided Micheal’s isles looking for all kinds of fabric, ribbons, bows, fabric paint, beads, chains, pendants and anything I can think of that would look cute on anything and I am ready to embark on changing the face of my jewelry.

So here goes!

Because I cannot stand the heat today :(. And I was only outside for about a half hour. Granted it was mid-day but I thought I would faint.

Its only 80° today but we have 100% humidity and it is KILLING me! This being a monday does not help one bit. I feel like everything has stopped in the office and there is nothing going on.

I am going to the movies tonight (The Ugly Truth) which I have been dying to see. It pains me that I have to go home and get a jacket to wear in there since I know it will be pure murder and I am not interested in leaving with a runny nose. Perhaps sushi after that will be a good idea too.

Paul & Clara’s Painting

WOOT!! Its is done and delivered! And they liked it so I am happy :). I must day 6 am in my balcony is a rather pleasant experience. I loved painting early in the morning and should definitely do that more often.

The history of this painting. Paul moved and I wanted to give him a housewarming gift. He loved the paintings in my apartment so I offered to do one for him except it took me two years to start :(. By this time he was engaged. Shame on me. I finally finished it and delivered it today and they both love it so I guess the wait was worth it?

So I was at Stein Mart last weekend and I was pleasantly surprised at some of the things they have. They have an awsome collection of jewelry but my cheap behind refuses to pay for anything I can make. The making is more fun and soo much more fulfilling than paying that much ($19.00…I refuse to pay that). I decided to hit up Micheals on Monday and gather up supplies and last night I made it (YAY ME!)

Here is what I used: Gold plated thick chain, jewelry connectors, gold polished bead, small silver beads, thinner gold plated chain, wooden beads, colored beads
Time on the project: 30 minutes

This was inspired a few months ago by my friend who got hers at NY & Company. There was nothing exciting left when I checked so I decided to do my own. I will apologize in advance because I did not take any pictures of this in the making as I was not blogging at the time 😦

Here is what I used: Silver chain, jewelry connectors, purple-ish big beads, gray elongated bead, small silver beads
Time on the project: 30 minutes
